Reset Your Body and Mind
In a world focused on burnout and hustle culture, it is our responsibility to prevent these things from negatively affecting our physical and emotional health.
This week, focus on allowing your body to rest. Rest is vital for better mental health, increased concentration and memory, a healthier immune system, reduced stress, improved mood, and even a better metabolism.
You are not slacking by allowing yourself to take time to rest. Instead, you are actually doing your mind, body, and soul a favor. Treat your physical health with the same dedication as you do your mental health. One cannot be healthy without the other. Rest Easy, Friends!
Try these practices in order to help you unwind and decompress at the end of the day:
Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” mode and out of reach at least 45 minutes before you want to go to bed
Take 5 minutes to journal about 3 amazing things that happened today and 3 ways you could have made today better
Spend the rest of time before bed doing whatever practice is best for you to clear your head. Such as meditating, reading, continuing to journal, etc.
